President’s Message

For the past ten years, Ujima, Inc. has been bringing voice to the issue of health disparities impacting African Americans. And now, with the COVID-19 pandemic, this issue has come to the forefront. Because of health disparities, African Americans have been most affected. Health disparities put African Americans at highest risk for this infection, as underlying conditions make African Americans more susceptible to this virile, highly aggressive and easily transmittable disease. Our ability to recover is also lessened, due to underlying conditions.
